North Wilkesboro Teen captures the title of Jr Miss America’s United States!
Sevyn EmmaRose Harrold of North Wilkesboro, NC competed in the America’s United Sates National Pageant and won the title of Jr Miss America’s United States on Saturday, August 13, 2022. She also walked away with the community service, photogenic and the interview awards during the show. During the week’s festivities, contestants from across the country participated in events such as a BBQ dinner and a symposium about mental health, along with many optional events and the required events of private interview, fun fashion and evening gown.
Sevyn will be representing the national title for the next year. She will be making appearances, speaking to groups and school children about the importance of community service and making a difference in their communities, as well as promoting the system’s mission Pearls of Wisdom. The Pearls of Wisdom are Passionate, Pivotal, Personable, Positive and Powerful. Sevyn will also continue to work her own community service platform, Chris Cared, where she collects and donates hot and cold beverages to homeless shelters, soup kitchens, children’s homes and more. Sevyn agrees with the AUS philosophy of creating “crowns with opportunities” and encouraging titleholders to be positive forces in their communities and across the country. AUS is committed to helping their titleholders support the organizations and charities close to their hearts as they give back to their communities across the nation. It is important to know that a crown is not just a pretty hat, it stands for so much more, such as being a leader and a role model and a representation of the work that can be accomplished.
