Union County Teen Takes the Title of Miss Teen America’s United States Shelby Stegall of Monroe, NC competed in the America’s United States National Pageant and won the title of Miss Teen America’s United States on Saturday, August 12, 2022 in Albermarle, North Carolina. She also walked away with the interview award during the night. During the week of competition she participated in several activities with her fellow queens, including several practices where she met many new friends, a Western themed dinner, and of course the competition portion with a private interview, fitness wear, and evening gown. Shelby will be representing her new title for the next year and will be making several appearances. Shelby’s plan for this year is to begin her platform, Turning Frowns Upside Down, and grow it tremendously. Her goal is to spread happiness to children who are in hospitals, group homes, orphanages, and those of less fortunate home situations. With the restrictions still in place from Covid-19 it is still a little difficult to get into hospital atmospheres but Shelby would love any help she can get. If you would like to help Shelby or want her to participate in your next event, contact her at skstegall3@gmail.com, or you could email Tava Cook or Connie Thomas at TMCProductions1@yahoo.com.
